Crosby HG-228 Jaw & Jaw Turnbuckles
The Crosby HG-228 Jaw & Jaw Turnbuckles are designed for maximum security in heavy-duty inline tensioning. With forged jaw ends on both sides, they provide a positive clevis-to-clevis connection for structural, rigging, or lifting applications. Each unit is forged, heat-treated, and hot-dip galvanized for strength, fatigue resistance, and long-term corrosion protection.
Key Features Forged and heat-treated steel components: end fittings quenched and tempered or normalized; body normalized.
Jaw ends feature bolt-and-nut connections (1/4"–5/8") or pin-and-cotter assemblies (3/4"–2-3/4").
Modified UNJ thread on end fittings for improved fatigue properties; body uses UNC threads.
Hot-dip galvanized finish for long-term corrosion protection.
Rated for straight or in-line pull only.
Fatigue rated to 20,000 cycles at 1.5× Working Load Limit.
Lock nuts available for all sizes.
5:1 design factor; proof load is 2.5× WLL.
