Marine rigging solutions for Indian waters

Shipping & Marine

Sealinkers has served the shipping sector since 1977 with certified marine hardware — supplying classification-society-approved mooring, towing and lifting gear to India’s shipbuilding and ship-repair yards, coastal shipping operators and stevedoring contractors. India’s shipbuilding and ship-repair capacity has grown steadily, and every vessel — new-build or in dry dock for repair — needs its rigging, mooring and cargo-gear inventory tested and certified before it can put back to sea.

Challenges we solve

01

Harsh marine corrosion

Saltwater degrades standard rigging quickly. We supply corrosion-resistant synthetic ropes from Garware and Cortland, and galvanised wire rope, to extend service life.

02

Strict class compliance

Marine lifting gear must meet IRS and class-society norms. Our in-house test house certifies every item to the required standard.

03

Heavy towing loads

Towing and mooring demand dependable tensile strength. We source heavy-duty wire and synthetic ropes rated for critical marine duty.

04

Cargo Gear Register compliance

Every vessel’s Cargo Gear Register records the test status of its winches, derricks, slings and blocks — a single expired entry can hold a ship at port. We supply and certify replacement gear fast to keep the register current.

What we supply

Mooring & Towing Ropes

High-performance synthetic fibre ropes designed for coastal and deep-sea conditions — Garware and Cortland for strength-to-weight and durability.

Wire Rope Systems

Steel wire ropes for hawsers, rigging and crane lines, cut to length from stock — sourced from Usha Martin.

Anchors & Anchor Chain

Stockless and high-holding-power bower anchors, stud link chain cable in Grades U1 to U3, and the Kenter shackles, end shackles and swivels that make up the cable — with the class certification an Indian yard will ask for.

Deck Rigging Hardware

Shackles and hooks for anchor handling and deck rigging — genuine Crosby hardware for secure, traceable connections.

Lashing & Webbing

Polyester webbing slings and ratchet lashings for cargo securing and deck safety — made in India by Zebra Weblift.

Cargo Gear Testing & Certification

Proof-load testing and test and thorough-examination certification for shipboard lifting appliances and loose gear, in-house and witnessed by class where required.

Frequently asked questions

Are your marine ropes and gear class-society approved?

Yes. Sealinkers supplies rigging that can be certified to IRS, ABS, LRS and BV requirements, and our in-house test house verifies compliance for Indian shipping clients.

Which brands do you supply for marine wire rope?

We primarily supply Usha Martin wire ropes for marine applications, cut to length and fabricated into slings in-house, selected for proven performance in service.

Do you proof-load test and certify shackles?

Yes. We proof-load test Crosby shackles and other lifting gear on our 1–1,200 T bed and issue certificates through our in-house test house.

Can you supply Cortland synthetic ropes for towing?

Yes. We distribute Cortland Plasma synthetic ropes for heavy towing and marine work, ideal where high strength and low weight matter.

What is a Cargo Gear Register, and can you help us keep it current?

It’s the statutory log of every lifting appliance and piece of loose gear aboard a vessel, and its test dates. We supply and certify replacement gear quickly so an expired entry doesn’t hold up a sailing.

Can you supply and certify gear during a port call, to avoid delaying a vessel?

Yes. Our our in-house test house means we can proof-load, certify and hand over replacement gear on a turnaround timeline, not a multi-week third-party wait.
