Our story
From a furnace on the quays
Our forefathers set up shop on the quays of Darukhana to serve the Arab dhows that called at the bunders with cargoes of dates from the Middle East. With a couple of blacksmiths and a furnace, they set about making anchors and chains for those customers.
Sealinkers was founded in 1977 by the second generation, to put the manufacture, stock and supply on an organised footing.
- Sealinkers was the first company in India to bring Dyneema (UHMWPE) into the lifting and rigging industry, in 2008.
- An in-house test house with a proof-load bed up to 1,200 T.
- Our works run India's first 3,000 t swaging machine (2002).

1977 to today
Milestones
From the second generation's company to four sites around Mumbai.
1977Founded
Sealinkers Pvt. Ltd. is incorporated in Mumbai and begins organised stocking and distribution for the shipping trade.
1990Zebra Weblift
A technical collaboration with Miller Weblift Ltd, UK puts synthetic polyester flat-belt and round slings into production — woven in-house from the first year.
1998Our own factory
Manufacturing expands into an MIDC industrial estate, adding in-house capacity behind the stock.
2002The swaging floor
A 30,000 sq ft factory, and India’s first 3,000 tonne swaging machine — mechanically splicing rope up to five inches with aluminium and steel swaged Flemish eye ferrules.
2008Dyneema
The first company in India to bring Dyneema (UHMWPE) into the lifting and rigging industry.
2014Khalapur
A six-acre site at Khalapur opens, taking Sealinkers from supply into complete lift solutions — design through execution.

Head office sells. Every order is executed at a branch. You deal with one sales desk; the goods are made, tested and despatched at the branch that holds the stock.
